Dance the night away

One more atc to share.  This is another one from the background swap.  I pulled this background, which is a picture of a city at night in sepia tones, from the bucket and then needed to decide what to do with it... I came up with this.  The image is from Dezinaworld.

2 More

I'm sharing another 2 atcs today.  The background on this first one was scrap... it was cut from a piece of watercolor paper that I used to test the color on a waterbrush from watercolor crayons and also to clean off the brush in between colors.  I almost tossed it... gasp... but then cut it up into atc sized pieces that are fabulous to use!!  I kept it simple here... stamped the flower image (Hero Arts) with jet black Archival... stamped the words on a scrap of cardstock with the jet black, cut them out, dabbed the edges with ink... punched out the butterflies from cardstock, inked the edges, glued them on and added a pearl to the centers... used a black pen to make the border.

This background is Distress stained, embossed in an embossing folder, painted over the high spots with Pearl paint dabber and inked the edges darker.  Tore the edges on the image of the girl.  Added a heart sticker on the girl and silver leaf stickers on the background.. a paper flower altered with some paint and ink... ribbon roses colored with Distress stain.

Hearts

It's pretty bad when I've had atcs done since January and have trouble just getting them on my blog... it's been crazy busy and I just get too tired at the end of the day to blog :-(

So I will share two atcs today!!

For this first one I was trying something for the background that I saw on a blog and now can't remember where (I will have to find it!!!) I took a background from my stash and added UTEE and Distress Stickles and played around... it didn't do exactly what it was supposed to and I just kept messing with it... don't even remember the exact steps anymore.  The white hearts and dots were done with Ranger's Enamel Accents.  The center heart is a piece I've had lying around.. I added pearl Paint Dabber to the high spots and also lightly dabbed it on the rest of the heart.. made it look real good.  Tissue tape across the center under the heart.  "heart" and "notes" are from the Tim Holtz words stamp.

This next atc started with an alcohol ink background.  One of the things we've started doing at our in-person swaps is a background swap.  Put a background or a couple or a few in the swap bucket and take out a couple that someone else put in... make atcs with the backgrounds you drew out.  The alcohol ink background was one I drew out.  I embossed it with the Tim Holtz atc sized queen of hearts card folder... added jet black Archival Ink over the high spots... used Glaze pens on the hearts - white and then red... added punched out hearts and a heart sticker to the center... colored a Tim Holtz Idea-ology crown... added sticky back gems to the point and gave the queen a crown.

Composer Tissue Paper ATC

For this atc I pulled a background from my stash (technique is scribble Krylon gold onto cardstock, add watercolor over it.. the Krylon resists the watercolor)... I glued a piece of Tim Holtz Composer Tissue Paper over the background... added the girl image and computer generated words... smudged carbon pencil around them... created a flower from the composer tissue paper and Tim's pinecone die... added a little ink to the tips and some rock candy Distress Stickles... also added some Stickles to the flowers the girl is holding.
